Sadly, early this morning, my Dad, who has not been well, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Through all the sadness and hurt, today I can see a smile on my Mom’s face, who only left us a short while ago, as she welcomes this wonderful man into her world.
Dad, you will be lovingly missed, and always with me, take care of him Mom.
Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth, of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not what was his church or what was his creed, but had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer, to bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
but how many were sorry that he passed away?

Rob,
Please accept my condolences to your dad ’s passing. My dad has been gone for 22 years my mom for 12, and my wife 5. I still think fondly of them each day.
I often find myself looking at something I am about to do and think, How would they approach this task?
Take care,
Denis
